English Courses For Non-Native English Teachers

Non-native English teachers can brush up on their pronunciation or learn new techniques for the classroom. They can enroll at an English school when they have a break from school. They can take a eight or four week course.

The MovingOn Courses allow you to be in a class with six students who do not speak English well either. Since you are already a teacher, you can help the students out a little bit too. When the regular teacher is not available, you can help them with their homework assignments.

All of the students will be living together for four to eight weeks. As a teacher, you may not feel comfortable living with other people, especially if they are younger than you are. You may feel like you should be by yourself. At the English school it is all about teamwork. Everyone is there for the same reason as you are, which is to learn English. You may be surprised that some of the students are much older than you are.

For 12 hours a day, you will learn and read in English. When you eat your meals, you will speak in English. Do not be intimidated if a student corrects you if you happen to say the wrong word. You are all there to help one another. The teacher will be there also to help you and the other students. The teacher lives in the room with you. It may seem uncomfortable at first, but after a while you may form strong bonds with your peers and teacher.

Non-native English teachers who come to the English school may be able to take the one-on-one course as well to get help with their own curriculum. The English school recommends that you still take courses with the other students for half of the day and the other half in a private course. When it comes to learning English, you have to speak it. You cannot just talk to yourself. Since you are a teacher, you should know that communication is important. The other students will not expect you to be perfect just because you are a teacher. They may come to you for help, but you are a student, just like they are.
